Topics: STEM Education / Play, Brainteasers

It’s almost Halloween, which means that everyone is ready to eat tons of their favorite treats! It’s easy for kids (and adults!) to overdose on their favorite candies, so if you need a break from munching on actual sweets, let these candy-themed games satisfy your sweet tooth. They will even tie-in perfectly to your Halloween party!

Chocolate Fix

If playing Chocolate Fix makes you hungry, try replacing the plastic pieces for real chocolate, like we did for Mother's Day on Instagram! Use deductive reasoning to fill the tray with chocolate pieces in the correct positions. Each clue and condition has to be met for the challenge to be solved correctly. There are 40 challenges, so players can improve their logic and reasoning as the challenges increase in difficulty.

Ages 8+, Single Player

Gum Gum Machine

In Gum Gum Machine, players play as scientists working in a factory to produce the best gum gums by using the crazy contraption called the Gum Gum Machine. Players take turn flipping switches, spinning spinners, following pipes, and pulling levers to produce the best scoring gum gums. Whichever player reaches 30 points first, wins!

Ages 8+, 2-4 players

Ghosts Love Candy

In this card game, ghosts love to eat candy! Players play as ghosts that need to possess trick or treaters on Halloween night to get the treats they crave. Players need to be careful where they play their ghosts because it is possible to scare kids away! The player that eats the most candy after 8 rounds wins. This combination of light strategy and set collecting is sure to make Ghosts Love Candy a young gamers’ go-to Halloween game!

Ages 8+, 3-6 players

King Chocolate

In King Chocolate players win through the business of producing chocolate! Players build their chocolate empire and hopefully gain the crown. This strategy games involves strategically working with other players, but also learning how to take advantage of the supply chain to succeed. This chocolatey game would be great for older strategy players who would like a game that is a little bit more challenging.

Ages 10+, 2-5 players

Candy Chaser

In this bluffing game, players are candy smugglers trying to win with the highest priced candy. The key to victory in Candy Chaser is to fool other players, without giving away which candy is being smuggled. Each game takes about 10 minutes and is filled with candy fun.

Ages 8+, 2-4 players
